The Service
SummIt is a personal finance workspace for tracking income, expenses, categories, budgets, subscriptions, connected bank activity, and related insights.
SummIt is not a bank, broker, credit counselor, tax advisor, investment advisor, legal advisor, or financial planner. SummIt does not provide professional financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Any summaries, charts, classifications, suggestions, or assistant responses are informational only.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use SummIt. You may use SummIt only for your own personal or lawful internal purposes.
Your Account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
Your Workspace Data
You keep ownership of the information you enter into SummIt or authorize SummIt to receive. You grant SummIt a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, analyze, and otherwise use that information as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service and to comply with law.
You are responsible for confirming that records, categories, budgets, classifications, exchange-rate conversions, subscription dates, and connected-account data are accurate before relying on them.
Connected Financial Accounts
Connecting a financial account through Plaid is optional. If you connect an account, you authorize Plaid and SummIt to access and process the account and transaction data needed to provide connected-account features.
SummIt does not receive your bank login credentials through Plaid Link. SummIt stores an encrypted Plaid access token so it can request authorized account, balance, and transaction data until you disconnect the account or the connection otherwise ends.
Your use of Plaid is also subject to Plaid's end user terms and privacy policy. Financial institutions, Plaid, and other third parties may change, interrupt, or stop providing data, which can affect SummIt features.
Assistant Features
Samet, the in-product assistant, can answer workspace questions and create, update, or delete workspace records when you ask it to do so. Assistant output may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong.
You are responsible for reviewing assistant responses and any resulting changes. Do not rely on assistant output for tax filing, investing, lending, credit, legal, emergency, or other high-stakes decisions.
Acceptable Use
Do not use SummIt for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive activity.
Do not access or attempt to access another person's account or data.
Do not interfere with, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass security controls of the service.
Do not upload or transmit malware, secrets that do not belong to you, or data you are not allowed to use.
Do not use SummIt to make automated decisions about another person without independent review and any legally required permission.
Third-Party Services
SummIt depends on third-party services such as Firebase or Google, Plaid, OpenAI, hosting and database providers, Expo or app platform services, and Logo.dev. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, policies, outages, or data practices except where required by law.
Availability And Changes
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. The service may be unavailable, delayed, inaccurate, or interrupted due to maintenance, outages, third-party issues, or other causes.
Fees
SummIt does not currently describe paid plans in the app. If paid features are introduced, additional payment terms will apply before you are charged.
Intellectual Property
SummIt and its software, design, branding, and content are owned by SummIt or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of SummIt intellectual property to you.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how SummIt handles information. By using the service, you acknowledge that SummIt will process information as described in that policy.
Termination
You may stop using SummIt at any time. You can delete individual records and disconnect Plaid connections in the app where supported. To request account deletion, contact us.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk, misuse the service, or if we are required to do so by law or a third-party provider. After termination, we may retain information as described in the Privacy Policy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SummIt disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SummIt will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, financial losses, or costs of substitute services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SummIt's total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of 100 US dollars or the amount you paid to SummIt for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold SummIt harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your workspace data, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in California will have exclusive jurisdiction unless applicable law requires a different forum.
